Thank goodness this employee had a strong enough backbone to stand up to his boss. Otherwise it truly would have resulted in calamity.

As the OP explained, they've been referring to their workplaces as "The Flintstone Chronicles," mainly because they worked at a stone company and because of the odd situations their boss got into. This story just goes to show that not everyone can handle having power and authority over others. As the OP wrote in their first post, the only reason Kevina has the job in the first place is because she just assigned herself to be the boss one day. She doesn't seem qualified to be doing whatever it is she does, and she's certainly not good at managing her workers.
